A milk tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7 m. Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank?

    Answer:

                    For milk tank                \[r=1.5\,m\] \[h=7\,m\] \[\therefore \] Capacity \[=\pi {{r}^{2}}h\] \[=\frac{22}{7}\,\times 1.5\,\times 1.5\,\times 7\] \[=\frac{22}{7}\times \frac{15}{10}\,\times \frac{15}{10}\,\times 7\] \[=49.5\,{{m}^{3}}\] \[=49.5\times 1000\,L\] \[[\because \,\,1{{m}^{3}}=1000L]\] \[=49500\,L\] Hence, the quantity of milk that can be stored in the tank is 49500 litres.
