                 Explain any three strategies adopted by the government to protect the interest of the consumers.

Answer:

                  The strategies adopted are (i)Formation of National, State and District Level Courts to look into the grievances and complaints of consumers. (ii) Formation of Public Distribution Systems  (PDS). This ensures food security to the poor and prevents   hoarding,   black  marketing  and overcharging by traders. (iii) Various quality standards have been instituted to ensure the quality of products.' BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) are for industrial and consumer goods, Ag mark for agricultural products and FPO for fruit products.
