How is a consumer benefited by-the Right to be Informed? Or What is the Right to Information Act, 2005? How does it help the consumers? Or Explain how the Right to Information has empowered the consumers of goods and services.

    Answer:

The Right to Information Act, 2005 ensures citizens information about the working of the government ff departments, so that they can get social justice. In the case of consumers, the right to be informed means that the consumers have the right to be informed about the particulars of goods and services that they purchase, like MRP, date of manufacture, expiry date, etc. Consumers can then complain and ask for compensation or replacement if the product is defective in any manner.
