  Which phase of Industrialization is called Proto-Industrialization and why?

                  Even before factories began to appear on the landscape of England and Europe, there was large scale industrial production for an international market. This was not based on factories. Many historians refer this phase as "Proto Industrialization". During this period, most of the goods were manufactured by trained crafts persons for the international market.
