    Answer:

                                         (a) Nation-State A nation-state is one in which the  majority of its citizens and not only its rulers, came  to develop a sense of common identity, common   language and shared history or descent.         The most noticeable characteristic of nation-state is the degree to which they use the state as an instrument of national unity, in economic and social cultural life. (b) The two measures introduced by the French Revolutionaries were (i) A new French flag, the tricolour was chosen to replace the former royal standard. (ii) A centralised administrative system was put in place and it formulated uniform laws for all citizens.
