Derive the SI unit of joule (J) in terms of fundamental units.

    Answer:

                    joule is SI unit of work or energy. As         work = force x distance = (mass x ace.) x distance \[\therefore \]  \[Work=mass\times \frac{dis\tan ce}{tim{{e}^{2}}}\times dis\tan ce=\frac{mass{{\left( dis\tan ce \right)}^{2}}}{tim{{e}^{2}}}\] Hence   \[J=\frac{kg\,{{m}^{2}}}{{{s}^{2}}}=kg\,{{m}^{2}}{{s}^{-2}}\]
