Can three vectors not in one plane give a zero resultant? Can four vectors do?

    Answer:

Three vectors which are not in one plane cannot give zero resultant. This is because resultant of two vectors (in a plane) lies in their plane. It cannot balance the third vector which is in a different plane. The resultant of four coplanar vectors can be zero ; if they are represented in magnitude and direction by four sides of a polygon taken in the same order.
