Why are reactions of high molecularity less in number?

    Answer:

The basic condition for a chemical reaction is the simultaneous collisions among the reacting species. As the number of the reacting molecules taking part in a reaction increases, the chances of their simultaneous collisions go on decreasing. This means that the number of the reacting molecules which are colliding simultaneously is less than the number of the molecules actually present. Therefore, the reactions of high molecularity are less in number.
