      What precaution should be taken in intravenous injection?

    Answer:

      The medicine to be given by intravenous injection should be isotonic with blood plasma. If hypertonic solution is injected intravenously   then RBC will shrink (crenation).                       If hypotonic solution is injected intravenously then RBC will swell or even burst (hemolytic).
