    Answer:

      (i) Due to lower ionisation enthalpy Xe combines with strong oxidising agent like O & F and forms various noble as compounds. (ii) Fluorine can not show valency more than one but chlorine can show valency 1, 3, 5 and 7 due to presence F d-orbital. (ii) Of all the hydrides of group -16 elements,  shows unusual properties due to more polar O - H bond and formation of H - bonding.
