Which of the following lines has the same Y -intercept as \[y=\frac{x}{2}-3\]?

    A) \[\text{x }+\text{ 2 }=\text{ 3y}\]

    B)  \[\text{y}+\text{3}=\text{x}+\text{2}\]

    C) \[\text{y}+\text{3}=\text{2x}\]

    D)         \[\frac{\text{y}}{2}=\text{x-3}\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Here, we are asked to find the line which has the same intercept as \[y=\frac{x}{2}-3.\] So, at first we have to find the y-intercept of\[y=\frac{x}{2}-3.\] For finding the y-intercept, set \[x=0\]and solve for y. \[\therefore \]  \[y=\frac{0}{2}-3\] or            \[y=0-3=-3\]
