    A beaker containing a liquid is kept inside a big closed jar. If the air inside the jar is continuously pumped out, how will the pressure change inside the liquid near the bottom?

    Answer:

                    The total pressure at a point near the bottom is equal to the sum of the pressure due to liquid column and due to air inside the jar. When air of the jar is pumped out, the pressure of air inside the jar decreases. So pressure near the bottom of the liquid also decreases.
