Transistors do not work satisfactorily when used inside the railway carriage. Why?

                    The iron frame of railway carriage acts as a magnetic screen. It does not allow the e. m. wave signals coming from transmitter to enter the carriage. So a transistor cannot work satisfactorily inside a railway carriage.
