    Solution :

    Lines \[x+y=4\] and \[x+y=-4\] are parallel and point (2, 2) and (-2, -2) are lies on these lines. If point (a, a) are lie in between the lines then \[a>-2\] and \[a<2\] i.e. - 2 < a< 2 Þ \[|a|\ <2\].
