Will water at the foot of the fall be at a different temperature from that at the top? If yes, explain.

    Answer:

When water falls from a height, its P.E. is converted into kinetic energy and its velocity is maximum at the foot of the fall. The velocity is suddenly reduced to zero, and hence its kinetic energy gets converted into heat energy raising its temperature.
