The first electron acceptor in cyclic photo- phosphorylation is

    A)  \[Fd\]

    B)  \[PQ\]

    C)  \[PC\]

    D)  Cyt.b.

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

: During cyclic photophosphorylation, in photoact I high energy electrons move from P700 to\[NAD{{P}^{+}}\]through ferredoxin (Fd), the first electron acceptor. When all of the\[NAD{{P}^{+}}\]has been reduced, the ferredoxin transfers electrons back to P700 by cyclic route through many electron acceptors like PQ, cyt. b, PC etc.
