    Solution :

    According to equation of motion \[h=\frac{1}{2}g{{t}^{2}}\]                                           ?(i) \[\frac{h}{2}=\frac{1}{2}g{{(t-1)}^{2}}\]                                 ?(ii)                 Solving Eqs.(i) and (ii), we get                                 \[t=2\pm \sqrt{2}\,s\]                                 \[t=(2+\sqrt{2})s\]
