    Total current through the circuit \[i=\frac{10}{\frac{1000}{3}+500}=\frac{3}{250}A\] \[\therefore \] Voltmeter reading \[={{i}_{v}}\times {{R}_{v}}=\frac{2}{3}\times \frac{3}{250}\times 500=4V\]
