    Let    \[y=f(x)={{x}^{3}}\] \[\therefore \]  \[x={{y}^{1/3}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[{{f}^{-1}}(x)={{x}^{1/3}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[{{f}^{-1}}(8)={{(8)}^{1/3}}\]                 \[=2\]
