CET Karnataka Engineering CET - Karnataka Engineering Solved Paper-2010

  • question_answer
    If \[\frac{1}{(3-5x)(2+3x)}=\frac{A}{3-5x}+\frac{B}{2+3x},\]  then \[A:B\] is

    A) \[2:3\]

    B) \[5:3\]

    C) \[3:5\]

    D) \[3:2\]

    Correct Answer: A , B

    Solution :

    Solution :

Given,  \[\frac{1}{(3-5x)(2+3x)}=\frac{A}{(3-5x)}+\frac{B}{(2+3x)}\] By partial fraction                 \[1=(3A-5B)x+(2A+3B)\] On comparing the like powers of ‘x’                 \[3A-5B=0\]        …..(i) and        \[2A+3B=1\]       ……(ii) On solving, we get \[A=\frac{5}{19},B=\frac{3}{19}\] Hence,  \[A:B=5:3\]
