    Solution :

    For a diatomic gas, \[\gamma =1.4\]and degree of freedom \[f=5\] So,        \[{{C}_{V}}=\frac{1}{2}fR=\frac{5}{2}R\] and        \[{{C}_{p}}=R\left( \frac{f}{2}+1 \right)=\frac{7}{2}R\]
