    An ideal solution is one which possesses following characters (i) obeys Raoult's law (ii)  \[\Delta {{V}_{\text{maxing}}}=0\] (iii) \[\Delta {{H}_{\text{maxing}}}=0\] (iv) Mole fraction = active mass, Similar,      liquid     pairs      (like benzene + toluene, n-hexane + n-heptane, \[{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}Br+{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}I\]    mixture,    \[{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}Cl+{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}Br\] mixture,   \[{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{6}}+{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{5}}C{{H}_{3}}\] mixture etc.) form ideal solution. So, \[{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}I+{{C}_{2}}{{H}_{5}}OH\]mixture is not an ideal solution. Because this does not obey the above rule and fact hence, form non-ideal solution.
