    A)  nickel

    B)  \[AlC{{l}_{3}}\]

    C)  bright sunlight

    D)  zinc

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

\[{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{6}}+3C{{l}_{2}}\xrightarrow[\begin{smallmatrix}  or \\  bright\,\,sunlight \end{smallmatrix}]{Sunlight}\underset{(BHC)\,or}{\mathop{{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{6}}C{{l}_{6}}}}\,\]\[666\]or lindane \[{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{6}}C{{l}_{6}}\] is benzene hex chloride or \[666,\] a well known insecticides. It exists in eight isomeric crystalline forms namely \[\alpha ,\beta ,\gamma \]etc. Out of these \[\gamma \]-isomer is most effective and used as insecticide under the name of gammaxene or lindane.
