    Pellagra is caused by the deficiency of vitamin 85 (niacin or nicotinic acid). It was discovered by Goldberger in 1912. It is characteristic by 3D's and its symptoms include dermatitis, diarrhoea and dermentia. The main sources of vitamin-B5 are fresh meat, liver, fish, milk, cereals, pulses etc.
