    There are two types of irregularities occur due to the secretion of parathyroid. These are - [a] Hypoparathyroidism- it is rare. It causes- (i) Hypocalcemia - Level of calcium and ECF falls (ii) Hy perphosphatemia-Level of phosphates rise (iii) Tetany- Muscle contraction fails to relax after contraction. [b] Hyper parathyroidism    - It causes (i) Osteoporosis- Demineralization of bones (ii) Hypercalcemia - Sharp rise of calcium level in blood and ECF (iii) Hypophosphatemi- Sharp fall of phosphates (iv) Hypercalciurea - Calcium is excreted in urine.
