                    All chordates are not vertebrates, however all vertebrates are chordates. Chordates possess 3 specific features like-dorsal tubular nerve chord, rod-like notochord and pharyngeal gill, slit. In most of the adult vertebrates notochord is replaced with backbone or vertebral column.
