    Solution :

                    Dielectric constant is given by as \[K=\frac{\varepsilon }{{{\varepsilon }_{0}}}=\frac{1.46\times {{10}^{-10}}}{8.85\times {{10}^{-12}}}=16.5\] Now, by the relation for susceptibility                 \[K=1+{{X}_{e}}\] or            \[{{X}_{e}}=K-1\]                 \[=16.5-1=15.5\]
