    Myxoedema is caused by deficiency of thyroid hormone   in   adults.   This   disease  is characterised by puffy appearance due to accumulation of fat in the sub-cutaneous tissue because of low metabolic rate. Hypoparathyroidism  is  caused  by  the deficiency of parathormone. It causes the lowering of blood calcium level. This disorder is also called parathyroid tetany Cushings syndrome is caused by excess of corrisol (adrenal hormone) which may be due to tumour of the adrenal cortex. Diabetes in sipidus is caused by deficiency of antidiuratic hormone. It is characterised by excessive excretion of dilute urine.
