    Prolonged deficiency of thiamine (vitamin B1) in human duct causes beri-beri disease. It is characterised by muscle weakness; retarded growth, weak heart beat (even heart failure) and even paralysis. Pellagra is caused by the deficiency of niacin (vitamin B3) in human diet. It is characterized by skin and gastrointestinal lasions, nervous and metal disorders, etc. Legumes, liver and meats are main source of this vitamin. Anaemia is caused by the deficiency of vitamin B10 (folic acid) and Fe in human diet. Anaemia is characterised by less number of RBC in blood. (Since Fe and folic acid are essential for RBC formation). Legumes, green vegetables and whole wheat are the source of this vitamin. Haemorhage is caused by the deficiency of vitamin K. Haemorhage is characterised by a tendency of bleeding (due to decrease in prothrombin content of blood). Green leafy vegetables liver, fish are main source of this vitamin.
