    Solution :

                    Youngs modulus, \[Y=\frac{3\eta }{2}\] We know that \[Y=2\eta (1+\sigma )\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{3\eta }{2}=2\eta (1+\sigma )\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[\sigma =-\frac{1}{4}\]
