The earth takes \[24\text{ }h\]to rotate once about its axis. How much time does the sun take to shift by \[{{5}^{o}}\] when viewed from the earth?

    A)  \[20\text{ }min\]

    B)  \[15\text{ }min\]

    C)  \[10\text{ }min\]

    D)  \[5\text{ }min\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

From the earth, sun shift \[{{360}^{o}}\] in 24h. So into shift \[{{5}^{o}}\] the time taken \[=\frac{24\times 5}{360}=0.33h\] \[\approx 20\min \]
