  • question_answer
A ball falls from rest from top of a tower. If the ball reaches the foot of the tower in \[3\,\,s\], then height of tower is (take\[g=10\,\,m/{{s}^{2}})\]

    A) \[45\,\,m\]

    B) \[50\,\,m\]

    C) \[40\,\,m\]

    D)  None of these

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    We know that,\[h=ut+\frac{1}{2}g{{t}^{2}}\] \[\because \]     \[u=0\] \[\therefore \]  \[h=\frac{1}{2}g{{t}^{2}}\]                    \[=\frac{1}{2}\times 10\times {{(3)}^{2}}\]                    \[=5\times 9\]                    \[=45\,\,m\]
