     Spleen is a wedge-shaped organ lying in between the fundus of the stomach and the diaphragm. When the animal requires less oxygen some of the RBCs are with drawl from the blood and stored in spleen and released into the blood circulation when the animal requires more oxygen hence, the spleen is called blood bank. Heart is a hollow fibromuscular organ of somewhat conical or pyramidal form. The heart collects blood through atria and then distribute it through the ventricles. Liver is the largest gland of body. It produces bile,   help   in   excretion,   glycogenesis, lipogenesis, detoxification. In the embryo the liver produces RBCs. It also synthesize blood proteins such as prothrombin and fibrinogen. The old worn out RBCs are broken down in liver cells.
