    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Only statements I and II are correct. Menstrual cycle consists of menstrual phase, proliferative phase (follicular phase) and secretory phase (luteal phase). The cycle starts with the menstrual phase, when menstrual flow occurs and lasts for 3-5 days. Proliferative phase (\[{{5}^{th}}-{{14}^{th}}\]day) consists of growth of endometrium of uterus, Fallopian tube and vagina. At the end of secretory phase, corpus luteum degenerates in the ovary, progesterone secretion  fails,  the  over  grown  uterine endometrium breaks down and menstruation takes place.
