    Solution :

     Impedance \[Z=\sqrt{{{R}^{2}}+X_{L}^{2}}\] Now \[IR=100\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[R=\frac{100}{2}=50\,\Omega \] and     \[{{X}_{L}}=\frac{240}{2}=120\,\Omega \] \[\therefore \] \[Z=\sqrt{{{(50)}^{2}}+{{(120)}^{2}}}\] \[=\sqrt{16900}=130\,\Omega \]
