    Solution :

     From conservation of momentum, \[m{{v}_{0}}=(m+m)v'\] \[v'=\frac{{{v}_{0}}}{2}\] Again from conservation of energy, \[\frac{1}{2}(2m)v{{'}^{2}}=(2m)gh\] \[h=\frac{mv{{'}^{2}}}{2mg}=\frac{v_{o}^{2}}{8g}\]
