The equation of circle concentric to the circle \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x+4y-2=0\]and passes through the point\[(-1,-2)\]is

    A) \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x-4y=0\]

    B)  \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}+3x-4y=0\]

    C)  \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x+4y+\frac{25}{2}=0\]

    D)  None of the above

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     Let equation of circle concentric to circle \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x+4y-2=0\] is \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x+4y+\lambda =0\] It passes through the point\[(-1,-2)\]. \[\therefore \] \[1+4+3-8+\lambda =0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[\lambda =0\] Hence, the equation of circle is \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-3x+4y=0\]
