    Solution :

     For same material and same length \[\frac{{{R}_{2}}}{{{R}_{1}}}=\frac{{{A}_{1}}}{{{A}_{2}}}=\frac{3}{2}\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[{{R}_{2}}=3{{R}_{1}}\] Resistance of thick wire \[{{R}_{1}}=10\,\Omega \] \[\therefore \]Resistance of then wire \[{{R}_{2}}=30\,\Omega \] Total resistance in series \[=10+30=40\,\Omega \]
