RAJASTHAN PMT Rajasthan - PMT Solved Paper-1995

  • question_answer
For a triode \[\mu =25,Rp=40\,k\Omega \] \[{{R}_{L}}=10\,k\Omega \]and input signal voltage is 0.5 volt. Then output voltage is:

    A)  \[1.25\,volt\]

    B)                         \[2.5\,volt\]

    C)  \[5\,volt\]

    D)         \[10\,volt\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Voltage gain \[A=\frac{\mu {{R}_{L}}}{{{R}_{P}}+{{R}_{L}}}\] \[=\frac{25\times 10\times {{10}^{3}}}{40\times {{10}^{3}}+10\times {{10}^{3}}}=5\] \[\frac{{{V}_{out}}}{{{V}_{in}}}=A\]                 \[\therefore \]  \[{{V}_{out}}=A\,{{V}_{in}}\]                                 \[=5\times 0.5=2.5volt\]
