    Solution :

    Ratio of amplitudes is equal to the square root of ratio of intensities. \[\frac{{{a}_{1}}}{{{a}_{2}}}=\sqrt{\frac{{{I}_{1}}}{{{I}_{2}}}}\]                 \[=\sqrt{\frac{1}{4}}=1:2\]
