    Solution :

    If we consider that each glycolytic NADH molecule produce 3 ATP molecules through electron transport system, one hexose molecule at the end of Krebs cycle will produce 38 ATP molecules on aerobic oxidation, but if glycolytic NADI-I forms only two ATP the net gain of ATP will be 36, the second view is favoured now-a-days.
