If a current of 10 amp flows in 1 sec through a coil and the induced emf is 10 volt. Then the self-inductance of the coil will be:

    A)  \[-1H\]

    B)  \[-\frac{5}{4}H\]

    C)  \[-\frac{4}{5}\]

    D)  \[-\frac{2}{5}H\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     Here: Current i = 10 amp Time   \[t=1\text{ }sec\] emf   \[E=10\text{ }volt\] From the induced emf is given by \[E=-L\left( \frac{i}{t} \right)\] Or \[10=-K\left( \frac{10}{1} \right)\] Or \[L=-\frac{10}{10}=-1H\]
