     \[\Delta H=\Delta E+\Delta {{n}_{g}}RT\] For the reaction, \[CO(g)+\frac{1}{2}{{O}_{2}}(g)\xrightarrow[{}]{{}}C{{O}_{2}}(g)\] \[\Delta {{n}_{g}}=1-1\frac{1}{2}=-\frac{1}{2}\] \[\therefore \] \[\Delta H-\Delta E=-\frac{1}{2}\times 8.314\times 300\] \[=-1247.1\text{ }J\] \[=-1.247\text{ }kJ\]
