    Equal lengths of magnesium ribbons are taken in test tubes A and B. Hydrochloric acid () is added to test tube A, while acetic acid  is added to test tube B. In which test tube will the fizzing occur more vigorously and why?  

    Answer:

    In test tube A hydrochloric acid is present which is a strong acid as compared to acetic acid present in test tube B.The fizzing occurs more vigorously in test tube A as  is strong and dissociates completely into  and CF ions for the reaction.
