                      Leaves shows following adaptations for photosynthesis (a)Leaves provide large surface area for maximum light absorption. (b) The extensive network of veins enables quick transport of substances to and from the mesophyll cells, (c) The chloroplasts are present, which are the site for photosynthesis. They are more in number on the upper surface, (d) Presence of numerous stomata on leaf's surface for gaseous exchange and transpiration.
