10th Class Science Magnetic Effects of Electric Current

  • question_answer 30)
What is the principle of an electric motor?

    Answer:

An electric motor is based upon the magnetic effect of current. When an electric current is passed through a conductor placed at right angle to a magnetic field, a force perpendicular both to the magnetic field and the conductor acts on it. This makes the conductor move. The direction of motion of the conductor is given by Fleming's left-hand rule.
