  • question_answer 12)
Write important features of a sedimentary cycle in an ecosystem.

    Answer:

A sedimentary cycle is the cyclic process of circulation of a non-gaseous biogeochemical, between abiotic and biotic components of biosphere E.g., phosphorus cycle, calcium cycle etc. Impotent features of a sedimentary cycle in an ecosystem are as follows: (1) The reservoir pool of the nutrient elements is in the sediments of the earth. (2) These cycles are slow. (3) Sedimentary cycles are less perfect system in that the elements may get blocked in the reservoir pool and go out of circulation for long periods.
