When RNA is hydrolysed, there is no relationship amongthe quantities of different bases obtained. What does this fact suggestabout the structure ofRNA? Single stranded structure of RNA.

    Answer:

DNA molecule has a double strand structure and fourcomplementary bases paired with each other. Cytosine (C) pairs with guanine (G) while thymine (T) pairs with adenine (A), Due to suchstructure, DNA produces the products in definite molar ratio. The case is not same In RNA, i.e., base pairing rule is not followed. Thus, when RNA is hydrolysed, the quantities of different bases aredifferent. This suggests that RNA has single stranded structure,
