Explain the role of allosteric site in enzyme inhibition ?

    Answer:

Site different from active site of an enzyme where a drug molecule can bind is called the allosteric site. Binding of a drug molecule at the allosteric site changes the shape of the active site of the enzyme in such a way that the natural substrate cannot recognize it. As a result, the chemical reaction is inhibited.
