Why does physisorption decrease with increase of temperature?

    Answer:

Adsorption is an exothermic phenomenon. This means that a gas adsorbs on the solid surface with the evolution of heat. Gas + Solid  Gas adsorbed; H = ? ve. The increase in temperature will favour the reverse process i.e. desorption according to Lechatelier's principle. Therefore, physisorption decreases with increase in temperature.
